Join Our Team- Seasonal Landscape Maintenance Technician

What you will be doing as a Landscape Maintenance Technician:

  • Clean-Ups: Refresh and revitalize landscapes with seasonal clean-ups that prepare the grounds for the upcoming seasons.
  • Weeding & Bed Maintenance: Keep planting beds tidy and thriving by removing weeds and maintaining their health.
  • Perennial Plant Care: Provide expert care for perennials by deadheading, performing seasonal cutbacks.
  • Small Tree & Shrub Care: Tackle renewal pruning, deadwood removal, structural pruning, and shaping with both hand and power tools to ensure plants remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Tool & Equipment Mastery: Effectively use the right tools and equipment to complete each task efficiently, ensuring top-quality results every time.
  • Smart Decision-Making: Make informed decisions based on weather conditions and the time of year, optimizing your work for the best results.
  • Team & Customer Communication: Collaborate seamlessly with team members and communicate effectively with customers, ensuring all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

What you will bring to the table as a Landscape Maintenance Technician: 

  • High School Diploma: A basic education to set the foundation for your landscaping journey.
  • Strong Work Ethic & Willingness to Learn: We value dedication and a passion for growth. We will teach you the skills you need, and you will bring the enthusiasm!
  • Valid Wisconsin Drivers License: Required to get to job sites and navigate local routes safely.
  • Physical Strength & Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk long distances while carrying equipment, as physical activity is key to this role.
  • Positive Attitude & Self-Starter: You take pride in your work and come to each task with a can-do spirit, ready to tackle any challenge.
  • Turf & Plant Knowledge: Willingness to learn proper turf care, plant identification, and maintenance techniques that keep landscapes healthy and beautiful.
  • Adaptability to Weather Conditions: comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather, whether it’s sunny, rainy, or cold, you’re ready to go the extra mile.
  • Team Player with Strong Communication: You work well with others, understand the importance of collaboration, and communicate clearly to ensure the job is done right.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think on your feet and solve challenges that may arise while working in the field, ensuring efficient and effective results.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, including bags of mulch, soil, plants, and landscaping tools.
  • Capability to perform manual tasks such as digging, planting, pruning, weeding, and applying mulch, which requires strength, stamina, and dexterity.
  • Comfort working outdoors for extended periods, in all weather conditions including sun, rain, wind, hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and squat frequently throughout the day to perform various landscaping tasks.
  • Physical endurance to walk long distances across different terrains while carrying tools or equipment as part of daily responsibilities.
  • The ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., pruners, weed whackers, blowers, mowers, etc.), which require hand-eye coordination and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or awkward positions when performing detailed tasks such as pruning or weeding.
  • Capacity to maintain focus and energy levels during long, physically demanding workdays.
  • Comfort in handling physical labor and repetitive motions while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Position is seasonal- May thru August 
  • Shifts typically occur during daylight hours (e.g., 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Flexibility - We can be flexible on schedule (to some extent). We understand that you may have school, family, or other interests that you need to work around.
